Up for your consideration are 18+ assorted color eggs from my show winning bearded Silkie bantam flock. Eggs will ship priority on Wednesday, 2/9. Colors available are partridge, buff, blue/splash, white, porcelain and lavender/lavender splits. The blacks have started laying again, but I won't ship any eggs from this pen until I can confirm fertility.
Re the porcelain and lavender eggs - please read carefully so you understand what you are bidding on. I am including these eggs only because I've just filled my incubator and don't want them to go to waste. I do not anticipate offering many eggs from these pens. There will be at least 2 and as many as 4 eggs from the porcelain pen. This is a straight porcelain to porcelain breeding and I expect these chicks to be very nice. I have the first big group due to hatch tomorrow night, so don't have any pictures yet. I've had 100% fertility from this pen. The lavender project pen includes 2 young lav cockerels, 2 porcelain hens, one buff hen (not a split) and a bunch of lavender split hens in black, silver/gray, and black/red. I have no idea what colors they will produce, but since all of the hens with the exception of the buff are carrying lavender, I expect there to be both lavenders and porcelains. However, there are no lavender hens in this pen, so I can't guarantee lavender. I just started to get fertility from this pen and the first eggs are currently in my incubator, so I will know more in a few weeks. I do NOT expect anywhere near 100% fertility from this pen because the cockerels are young and don't always get it right, but I should have up to 10 eggs from this pen by the time these are shipped. I always include lots of extras in my shipments so hopefully no one is disappointed
The flock is NPIP certified and AI tested clean. I do show my birds and my birds have place BB in 12/09 (white pullet) and 4/10 (splash pullet), RB 12/09 (black pullet), as well as many BVs and RVs. A pullet hatched from a white pair I sold was recently named Grand Champion at the Wa. County Fair in Oregon. I've been getting some really nice chicks this year and all the birds pictured were hatched from the same breeding flocks your eggs will come from. The silkies in my breeding flocks are all carefully chosen for their own individual merits and even more importantly, their ability to produce quality offspring. I do pack eggs extremely well and my customers are reporting good success. A lot of my customers are returning for more eggs, which makes me very happy
Please be prepared to pay via paypal at auction's end - no e-checks please as they take too long to clear. You can see more of my silkies at http://www.catdancesilkies.com. Thank you for looking.
