Hi my chick is 18 days old since it was 2-3 day old I realised that it has something wrong with it’s eye and I have posted it here and I was told maybe someone picked on it that’s why and I watched it with saline solution like a couple of times and it was able to open it’s eye but now it’s weird things get stuck onto it like wood shavings or feathers😥💔 I want to be able to treat it please give me advice!
The first picture is when it was 2-3 days old the other videos I just took!

Have you been flushing/cleaning the eye a couple of times a day and applying an eye ointment? You can use saline to clean it and terramycin eye ointment.
Hopefully that will help.

Here's your other thread, not sure if you saw where it was suggested that you could also use plain neosporin in the eye if you can't find Terramycin.

Hey thanks for your reply and sorry took me that long to see it I just have been busy with final exams 😥! No I just cleaned them a couple of time when it was like 3 days old than I stoped. I would get back on doing that if it will help because I do see him/her also scratching the eye alot which worries me! I searched for both eye ointment that you mentioned but non of them are available in Australia😥 should I just go to a pharmacy ‘human one’ and ask them for any eye ointment or is there something specific? Sorry for writting much and appreciate your help!

Neosporin is also called 'triple antibiotic' as a generic. It's in a tube, probably in the bandaid area.

Cool So ointments, cream and solution came up! Would this be okay? And how often should I use both the ointment and cleaning with saline solution? I know I’m asking alot of questions sorry again but it’s my first time handling chickens and already facing some issues 😥

No worries about asking questions!

That is not the same thing. I think thats used for cleaning wounds.

Have you ever had an injury and put a little clear-ish gel stuff on under the bandaid?

I do have this ointment that is for burns and cuts that I really like to use even as an every day cream

could you put the ingredients of the papaw ointment? That could be helpful in figuring out if it could be suitable. I agree with @Wyorp Rock try flushing it with a hand mixed saline solution at least once a day! Best of luck!

I think I would ask your vet or go to your local pharmacy and see what they have available.
I would not use the betadine or papaw ointment in the eye.

In the meantime, clean the eye a couple of times a day.

One last time trying as I am on my way to a pharmacy but would this be it?
