18 week old duck hen

We are new to owning Ducks and we do not know what their nature is. we picked up 2 ducklings 18 weeks ago and we are now missing the hen.

she was raised here on our farm along with a drake and they started mating a couple of weeks back. She always stays with the drake. The drake also started acting funny this past week about chasing the chickens around when they came near him and the duck hen! Now the duck Hen has disappeared and we can not find her.


My question is: Do you think she is nesting some where or do you think she got killed?

we didn't see any feathers any where!

Difficult to say for sure because both are very real possibilities

What breed of ducks are they? That might give an indication of the likelihood of her nesting as some breeds are more prone than others; not foolproof in explaining her absence though.

Mallards can and often do fly away never to return. Sorry she is missing
