18 week old rooster silkie not crowing yet. No signs of it.

I have a rooster 18 weeks old approx and he hasn't crowed yet - not even murmured. He is a rooster, I can tell. Here's a pic.

It happens. I've read of many folks (whose birds' sexes weren't obvious) not figuring out for sure whether their silkies were male/female for 4-6 mos. of age...as they say, "till it lays an egg or crows." So evidently in better bred silkies, some don't crow until very late.
