That is a pullet and her light coloring betrays an outcross in her not too distant past. Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, the Barred Rocks get outcrossed to a white bird. This sparks their vigor, but also messes the barring and lightens the whole package. I'm guessing she's going to be a good layer for you.

Sheeba (above) our Pilkie (silkie/polish cross) seems to be the main target of our Barred Rock's "affection" lol...poor girl is only about half the BR's size and prolly super confused...lol. But for some reason the BR leaves the other Pilkie alone (our Blue Pilkie: Gladis below).
