We are back with the mysterious Uncle Fester. Because of the frizzled feathers, I can’t distinguish. Red face and comb, but it’s not too big. No crowing yet, also no eggs. We can’t have roosters, so trying to stay ahead of things.

What does everyone think? Hen or Roo?

At 19 weeks I'd be about 98% sure that's a pullet. I can't be 100% sure because I'm terrible at identifying male saddle feathers on frizzled feathers, but I'd really expect a much brighter comb from a cockerel.

Thank you, everyone! Her face has been red for a couple of weeks, so I was really concerned we had a rooster. But her comb has never grown any larger, it’s just stayed red. And still no crowing. So we are still just waiting. I’m hoping she’s a girl, she’s one of our favorites!
