Gizmo DOES stand, lol, s/he just didn't wanna right now. They're 19 weeks today. Nobody is crowing yet. One or two of em copy the big girls egg song.

Possibly Gizmo may look boyish otherwise they look pretty henish to me. My hens are about the same age and their comb looks pretty much the same. Although I'm no silkie expert for sure. I just found out my blue was a hen only because she laid an egg!

They look like pullets to me too. Not completely sure about Gizmo since she/he is laying down, but probably a girl too. All mine that were boys had larger combs by 19 weeks.

Thanks for your quick answers. I was thinking Giz might be boy, but i just can't tell. Nobody has a big comb at all either, if that helps. they're all pretty flat.

I'm not sure those are streamers. Their crests or "poofs" just aren't large or show quality, so they tend to look swept back. Here's a photo of one of my pet/breeder males at about 4 months old with streamers at the back of his crest.

LOL, they are so confusing! On a side note, the pic there has a gigantic comb in relation to the ones mine have (or rather the nonexistant combs mine have)
