thanks for the link. I showed it to my DH and asked if that was what it looked like. He said close except the yolks were all yellow.

This may be way off and even a bit on the strange side so please don't judge the things I watch on tv

but I did see an episode of bizzare foods and they were in asia somewhere (i forget now just where) and they were showing some of the street foods there. They have chicken meat on a stick, chicken feet, some other stuff that is way too gross for me to mention, and UNLAID CHICKEN EGGS! They looked just like egg yolks but were in different sizes on the stick from marble size up to like ping pong ball size. They were explaining that the smaller the " unlaid egg" was the newer it was. So maybe what your husband saw in the turkey was just the natural progression of eggs inside her. Heck these people got 8 "unlaid eggs" out of one chicken so 19 out of a turkey might not be so off.

Maybe for some reason she was laying the eggs too fast for the shell to be put on them, that way, she could lay two in one day.
