1st coop vs. New coop

Coyotes would tear chicken wire apart, you’re better off with welded wire or hardware cloth. Other than that everything looks good. The nest boxes look good, and free is always good! Make sure you pay the neighbor back with some fresh eggs!

I would give the neighbor eggs, but he said he doesn't eat eggs anymore.

We have made some additional improvements to the new coop. We have added the overhang, added a run, and a soon to be cover over the run. We will post some pics tomorrow when the overhang is finished.

As promised, here is a pic after the overhang is finished. It is still a work in progress though. Still have to finished the cover and put a gate on.

Finished covering the run this morning. Only a couple of small things left to do. Going to use some old white hospital sheets on top of the wire over the run so they have some morning shade.
