1st dead turkey, any advice?

I have 3 turkeys and 16 Cornish crosses. I got them Thursday and have been keeping them all together in the brooder. last night this one was acting funny. (coming over to me and wanting to be held) this morning I found him/her just lying there stiff. my granddaughters did hold them a bit yesterday, but I was right there with them.

what could have happened and how can I keep it from happening again.

cornish crosses eat a TON possibly the turks arent getting enough to eat? Id keep the separate.

I had heard that so I put 2 feeders and 2 waterers. I thought that they would all be around them 24/7 but they don't seam to be.

how old are they? turkey's need a higher protein feed if they are babies. my turkey poults get 30% protein.

Maybe 5 days. I was told 24% was good for them and it wouldn't hurt the crosses. So that's what I give both. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my granddaughters handling them. Everyone is doing fine today.
