17th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-Along

Day 20 and the wait is long. I had a few mishaps so I'm hoping the eggs will be alright. I moved my remaining 3 eggs to incubator. I also cheated and bought a few chicks for my broody in case those eggs don't make it.

Day 21 is approaching for all three broodies.

Monday for Socka, Tuesday for Reese and Wednesday for Sweety. There should be chicks any day now.

I checked under Socka and Sweety, but no chicks yet for those two, but they shouldn't be far behind.

Ok started off with 10. At lockdown, 2 were not viable, never fertilized. This leaves 8. I wasn't sure about 5 of them, but stuck them back in bator anyways. I was pretty sure about 3 of them. So far, right now I've got 3 that have pipped. Movement on a 4th but no pip yet.

Funny the 2 that I wasn't sure about have pipped. So we'll see what happens tonight and in the morning. I've been checking every few hours. So exciting!!!

I've had that happen too. A chick would pip and I'd expect it to be hatched by morning and 3 other chicks would hatch instead.
