My EE girl Pebbles at 6 weeks... her comb was a little too red for me but no she is DEF a pullet

I know that comb. You sit and wait every day for it to blow up out of their head, and it never does!

Great idea for an article. I have a questionable chick right now...

I was like for a few weeks and she never got much bigger than that, but none are at egg-laying age yet so still like

I wish I got more Pictures after it stood up, but this Girl was the only one of my Chicks, (including the Cockerels! ), to hatch out with a Comb already large enough to fold over on itself.

This is Pot at a touch over 4 weeks old. Umm, the other pullet didn't have that much of a comb. Later I learned the other pullet had a pea comb, so comparing the two was useless.

Again at 7 weeks, she developed wattles, small, but concerning for the age.

She herself isn't a sexlink, partridge colored hens have a very even pattern while males will be very splotchy and often have red patches. As far as partridge patterns go, it doesn't get more even than what pot has

I got her with a batch of "barnyard mixed" eggs from Amazon. None of the chicks that hatched were pure bred. I've been saying she's just a black Barnyard mix, but could be a BSL.

Partridge? She's mostly black with copper ring around her neck and on her head. I thought partridge was more of a messy barred pattern . . .?
