I bought day old chicks from Ideal Poultry shipped Feb.22. I thought i had plenty of time to get ready for egg laying. Nest boxes are up but no straw or nest material. I was supprised this afternoon when there in the empty bare nest box was my 1st. egg . Don't know when i'll get another but i got one. 16 weeks?

Mine hatched around March 13. I've been told to look for eggs in August, but now you've got me all eggcited!!
