1st hatch lockdown- Did I mess up?!

I've been playing chicks chirping noises since 10:30am (mostly for my benefit, I think lol). We now have 5/13 external pips! Yay! 2 other eggs are rocking quite a bit, and we can definitely hear some chirping going on. Temps are steady at 99.5 and humidity is currently 72%.. My nerves are still shot, but feeling slightly more confident i didnt kill everything in there... We still have a long way to go though, so I'm trying to have realistic expectations..

1st chick just went from a 1/2" zip to boom! Totally kicked out of the shell, but still has yoke attached! Now what? Will that absorb before it rips it on something or steps on it? This girl is up and around!

Is this chick too wet? I don't see extra fluid in the egg, but I don't know how wet the chick is supposed to be..

She popped out a bit early. Hopefully the rest of the yolk sac will be absorbed pretty quickly and she'll be fine. I think your humidity might have been a bit high during incubation???

Totally possible. I started day 1-7 in a still air at 101° 25-45% humidity, then switched over to my new forced air and was able to stabilize in the 40's (humidity). I've had a few spikes and drops in temp and humidity, but nothing drastic +-2°either way, I'd guess? I think keeping humidity in the 30s would be better for me and easy enough to do for days 1-18 next time. Also my Wyandottes (this chick is a GL wyandotte) seem to have a much smaller air cells than the silkies/ polish eggs. The Wyandottes came from a different breeder than the silkie/polish eggs. We'll see how the others look.

Well, we have 3 baby chicks and looks like 8 external pips. So 11/13 are showing activity. Of the last two to not pip yet, one is rocking around for sure so we'll see! Thankful for the progress, but wow is the waiting almost unbearable! :fl
Thanks to each of you for helping and following along!
