1st Hatch Waiting!

Waiting for my first hatch. It is soo... slow going. We had one pip this morning, and then a second Pipped and hatched. The first pip the chick is breathing moving around... hope to see a chick in the am. There are 4 more eggs in the incubator...we have been excited this last 24-48 hours is nerve wracking... hope the little chick has a buddy tomorrow!

I can’t wait to be on my hatch day. I’d be a nervous wreck wanting them to all hatch at the same time!

Does anyone know do olive eggers have a tough time hatching? We have two that have struggled... one has egg attached to him other is slowly zipping....

I olive egg we hatched but was a rough time for the little one. Second olive egg is zipping. And a dark feathered little cutie hatched from a brown egg today no problem. So for the tally we have 3 hatched, 1 piped, 1 zipping and two more in the wings. This is our first hatch from our own chickens.

Oh no... the little black cutie just died when we moved him to brooder. The struggling one got a bath and seems to be better.? The two pipped and partially zipped are hanging out... hoping for hatches tonight

Hi!! Don't wait on it too much, it's just gonna prolong the wait, I experienced it the 1st time I incubated some eggs, It took sooo long too.
