So I am on day 19 of my first hatch (yay!). I have the new incuview with the digital hygrometer. It says to have humidity between 60-80% for hatching period. It has read 80% for the last day or so. I get mixed answers on correct humidity. Does this seem too high? During the 1st 18 days humidity was between 35 and 55% and sometimes would drop down to 10% for a short duration. Also not sure how accurate the hygrometer is, since a lot of reviews said theirs didn't work. Any other advice is welcome!

I got my Incuview a couple months ago and actually popped the digital hygrometer out and tested it, it was accurate.

I shoot for 60-70% days 18 thru hatch ...
....it will spike higher when a chick hatches.

Do you have the plug out of the vent hole?
Have you candled to monitor air cell size throughout incubation?
80% during lockdown may not be a problem.

I have an Incuview and am currently on my second hatch with it. The first go around I had a faulty hygrometer. The company sent me a replacement (it is very easy to pop in and out). I have a calibrated humidity reader in the incubator and the Incuview’s hygrometer reads 5% higher than the calibrated one inside. It has been a consistent difference throughout the incubation.

I like aart’s idea of calibrating the Incuview’s reader—I will do that before the next hatch just to see what it reads.

As far as humidity, during the first hatch I kept it at 30-40% for the first 18 days and then around 65-70% for the last three days. As soon as pipping occurred I kept it around 60% because it would fluctuate quite a bit with the number of eggs hatching. I plan on doing the same this go around, as it worked out well the first time.

Your 80% should be OK, but I would perhaps allow it to lower now before your eggs start to pip, because I bet that as soon as they do your humidity is going to rise 5-10% and that may be too high.

Thank you for the info! I do have the plug out, yes. I have candled but I didn't monitor air cell size. The eggs have been wiggling so I'm hoping that's a good sign

Good to know about the humidity spiking during hatch. I will keep an eye on it. It's starting to lower a bit now. A learning process it is!

Mine was bear to get out, had a hard time holds down the clips and I sure didn't want to damage that lid!.
Wasn't even sure it would come out until the rep(on the main Incuview thread) told me it would....so I persevered and got 'er done.
Pic taken mid test.
