Better to leave lid closed...83% is ok, it'll come down, until another hatches.
Did you take turner rack out or just remove the arm?
Long debate on whether to leave rack in(as suggested by mfg) and risk toes getting caught between rack and floor grating(rare) but avoid pin balling, or take rack out.
The pin balling is annoying but common, I wouldn't worry too much.
It's hard to get used to the spastic movements when they first hatch...wet drunken sailors!I didn't take out the turner rack. They seem to be ok with it in. The ones that were upside down are the ones that hatched so I'm happy about that!
