1st Hatch with Incuview- Question(s)

So I woke up to external pips this morning and one hatched already! But he's making a ruckus and knocking eggs around..one is almost upside down. Suggestions?

Also, after the first one hatched, humidity went up to 83% so I opened the corner of the lid a tiny bit to release some humidity. Is this what you're supposed to do? Now humidity has been right at 75%

Better to leave lid closed...83% is ok, it'll come down, until another hatches.

Did you take turner rack out or just remove the arm?
Long debate on whether to leave rack in(as suggested by mfg) and risk toes getting caught between rack and floor grating(rare) but avoid pin balling, or take rack out.
The pin balling is annoying but common, I wouldn't worry too much.

I didn't take out the turner rack. They seem to be ok with it in. The ones that were upside down are the ones that hatched so I'm happy about that!

It's hard to get used to the spastic movements when they first hatch...wet drunken sailors!

I nature they would probably roll less in a nest with nesting material and mom sitting on top. I have heard of parts of eggs getting knocked on top of other eggs, then the chick can't get out. Less mess too with an egg carton.
