today makes 21 days. last night we had our first chick come out, this morning still the only one. we thought it would be dry by now and fluffy a little bit but still soaking wet. while im at work, im getting the play by play from the wife. she said little fella is panting and she felt compelled to bring it out and into the brooder. when doing so, she noticed it was extremely hot. well, since we were heading to bed lastnight. we removed the temperature peice in the Little Giant due to the cord hanging and we didnt want it to choke anyone in there. well, she put it back in there and was 107 degrees. this was only removed from midnight last night and then we noticed this temp at 11am this morning. so 11 hours unacounted for. humidity was around 50-60. she used a spray bottle and misted the remaining 6 eggs to cool them down, per an older threads reccomendation i found. temp is back at a stable 99.5-ish. Humidity around 65.
last evening, there were 2 eggs with tiny cracks in them and was hoping to wake to atleast 3 chicks but those eggs havent changed. she took it a bit further, per another older thread and broke it open just a tiny bit more to assist with the breaking out. still no change.
lets go ahead and assume that today is the first day we should see any signs, though we already have a chick. i read that if they are early then it was too hot.. true? anyways, we are pretty bummed out that the other 6 eggs may be no good but of course we are going to wait the weekend to see whats going on.
any and ALL suggestions are appreciated!

no signs of life in other eggs. Two poked through the sack and never made it. Looking for babies around town to buy so this one isn't all alone in the brooder for 6 weeks before meeting the rest of the flock
