Nine weeks old and they are out ! Its not completely done, still need to make a large run and put the pool in the run...but they are outside! !!!! I also want more ventilation installed. (Family illness and unusually cold temps prevented sooner completion).

It's like alcatraz. Wire floor underneath, all holes and gaps covered in wire even across the roof and the inside of the window.

They LOVED it today!

Question:
At 38 degrees tonight and 32 tomorrow night...do they need a heat lamp?? We put them in the storage barn coop (shut doors) tonight and it has lots of straw and a hanging night light.

I would say no. Mine are 9 weeks old and have straw and pine shaving down on the ground. My pen is still wrap with plastic due to being so cold last week- this spring has been horrible cold wise..
I live in Michigan and our temperature is still that low at night, tonight is 31 low.

I am very sorry that no one has posted to yet and you are probably sleeping at this point, but your guys are fully feathered and will be able to retain their well.

Your coop looks great!!! By chance does your shed have bigger or more windows that your pictures are not showing? I ask because these guys need a ton of ventilation

I have plans to add 2 big windows, one on each side, with hinges and hooks to close them if needed, and wire to cover them. The main doors are gonna be open in the daytime. Today was 1st day out there and we aren't done. :)
