Well, I was up with the first sparrow this morning, as needed to check on my girls to see that they were okay and had coped with their first night. They all seemed okay and Eric the larger of the 2 males seemed to be very happy with his harem and was having a bit of a busy morning..... No sign of any eggs yet but I was thinking it may take a week for them to feel settled enough to start to lay.

However think I need to go and get some Apple Cider Vinegar as they are a bit pongy this morning, and not wanting that, also seems that they stayed outside all night as not used the inside part of the coup, might need to refigure the layout so that they go indoors a bit more.

Got the grandson here today, so will get lots of time to watch them as he is fascinated them.

But all in all they seem very happy and are getting a bit vocal

I've never raised quail, but with chickens sometimes it takes a person to put them up in their coop at night until they get the idea of what it's for. Maybe that would work for your quail?

Tried that to no avail, they are just a bit stupid, have solved the problem by making a new enclosure with the house on the floor also made it a bit bigger! so will be moving them possibly on Friday. this move may put their egg laying back another week but fingers crossed all will be okay.
