Hi,
We are on day 14.
I had to keep it in the garage as DH had enough hatching, lol!
The temp has been down to 97 and I have had to reset my 1588 preset buttons twice to add heat to it.
Now should I take them out of the turner?
And bump humidity way up?
Thanks,
!st time, thought I'd try quail, probably not the best situation for them in garage but we will see.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Angela

I take the trays out of the turner on the 15th day. I hatch in the trays and bump the humidity to 75%. I also set up the brooder on the 15th day, hopefully I have time to sterilize everything and get the temp just right.

Good Luck
Brad

It depends on what kind of quail they are. Button quail take about 16 days to hatch, so they should be removed by the beginning of day 14. Coturnix quail take about 18 days to hatch, so they should be reomved by the end of day 15. Bobwhite quail take 24 days to hatch, and would have to be removed end of day 21.

You want to get the humidity up as high as you can get it. At least 70% if you can. I wouldn't worry to bad about the temps, unless they were that cool for a long time. That might have killed them. Otherwise it could delay them some. I have heard that certain types of quail do better with lower temps anyway, but it was more like 98.5-99

Good luck!

I always stop my quails the midnight of day 14 (coturnix)
