well this is the first time i processed one of my chicken. i didn't kill the chicken, the dog broke her neck. the process went fine. the carcass was not in bad shape. i scalded it and plucked. cut everything off that was suppose to come off and then gutted it. my daughter and i examined the internal organs together. thank everyone for all their post about the insides of a chicken. i was able to point out the developing eggs, the intestines, the gizzard, the heart, the liver, and the gallbladder. the amazing thing is she wanted to keep watching as i skinned the chicken. she was not grossed out in the least. she wanted to see the bones. i am so proud of her. she is only 7 and already shares my interest in all of this stuff.
