We have just started to try to hatch peafowl eggs. We have male and female on site she lays every other day right now we have 10 eggs in incubator with circulating air and automatic turner. We canceling 3 of them at day 15 they were moving. They are small tipped down. 99.5-100 temp 50% humidity
Any other advice?
Can they hatch on the egg turner? If not what is recommended since eggs aren't all same days.
Thanks in advance for all help we are new to this and are very excited.

I am not a pro with peafowl but think as with any other egg you will need to turn off the egg turner by day 24/25 and hand turn those that still need turning....take the turner completely out...also think your humidity needs to be higher in those last few days. What day is your 'oldest' egg at?? Hopefully you have enough time before lockdown that someone with know how will respond to your questions as I too would like to hear what they say.
I have 5 eggs under a peahen...5 eggs under a Cochin hen and 2 in the incubator and hoping something hatches!!! ( also 2 other peahens that haven't laid the first egg and the three peahens are all the same age?? Mother Nature maybe??). Anyways, good luck and I'll watch for replies too! Best of luck and keep us posted!

Thanks for responding!
Oldest eggs are 5/10 humidity is up to 65% now.
Can humidity be higher even for the new eggs in there?
Could we candle now to see if they are still alive or just wait at this point?
Just trying to see if we are doing the right thing. Our peahen is still laying, but not interested in sitting and none of our chickens are broody to hatch for us.
Thanks

So ur 5/10 egg is on day 26...right?
I would candle and see what's going on because for me seeing is better than just thinking I know what might be happening...
I also think I'd leave the humidity as is for now .. U don't want to drown the others with too much humidity and after u candle you'll have a better idea what's going on and maybe what to do...pea eggs can hatch as early as day 26 so go see where ur chicks are at in their entrance to the world and let us know... I'll look back in to see what ya see...

I candled one of the 5/10 it has great air pocket and dark maybe 3/4 egg. However there is no movement.

The incubator is still turning and another 5/10 is moving. Idk if i just leave them rotating since the one has been turned is moving and one that wasn't moving wasn't rotating..
Thanks for all the input. I really hope we get at least 1 baby!

Let's hope it's sleeping...but you have others so just give them time. Don't turn the ones that reach day 26 anymore and after candling try and leave them with the largest side of air sac up... If ya know what I'm trying to say.. so that it would be easier for the chick to get out... Again I'm no pro but wish one of the 'pea pros' would jump on and give better advice but since not yet this is what I'd be doing. I have chickens, ducks, guineas and peas and hatched many but each hatch still has its worries and feels like the first... Keep us posted and I'll watch for your updates and hopefully pics of new babies!!
