I am so sorry to hear that! I was crushed when people told me. Try posting the pictures of him/her and see what people say. I was told that at that age, EE's have a barely visible comb. The pink tint is not a good sign. Check for pointy feathers on it's back. Mine moves in a darty manner in comparison to the rest of my chicks too.
I think he is pretty enough, and your's probably is too, that someone will take him and give him a good home. I was soo looking forward to the eggs that he was going to be laying! At least we know what to look for now!
