I need help guys, I am new at this! I have 20 chickens, 10 RIRs, 7 ISA Browns, 3 Blk Jersey Giants. How can I tell at 2.5 months old who's a male and who's a female? I was told to look for spurs/neck feathers. But I don't see anything notable, does that mean I might have all females?? Thanks in advance for any advice!! :))

You should move this to the "What Breed or Gender is This?" part of the forum. Post some pics and I'm sure you'll get some replies. I can only tell you to look for pointed hackle/saddle feathers and larger comb on the males. We would need photos to guess at anything.

Both males and females can get spurs. Though males will have longer ones as adults, they are all pretty much the same length as chicks.

I would look for big bright red comb and wattles, slower to feather out, pointy feathers around the tail, pointy neck feathers, and bigger/thicker legs. If you post pictures that would help a lot.

I reported your thread for you so that a moderator can move it to the correct section for you.
