So I have Show bloodline chicks that are 7-8 weeks of age and 2 seem to be trying to crow? 1 I am worried about is a chick that I bonded with, Name is pebble… ive noticed that The comb is kinda red? And larger than normal. The lady I got pebble off did say she has hens with big wattles so I’m confused, Please Tell me what’s going on T^T

I don't know much about bantams, but it does kind of look like a cockerel to me. The comb is pretty big, and the waddle's also pretty red.

You will definitely want to check with others because I'm anything but an expert!

100% cockerels. Pullets won't be that developed at that age nor will they be trying to crow. Yes, females *can* crow but usually females that do that are older hens often in roosterless flocks, not chicks

Pebble is a cockerel. I just raised Pekin bantams last year, so my confidence level is VERY high. The crowing just seals the deal.

I'm sorry if you were misled about what you were getting.
