I bought 2 amber white pullets from a very reliable hatchery locally. One now, at about 10 (?) weeks has more of a comb, and a slightly bigger tail. Very docile and sweet, no crowing. I didn't know they were "feather sexed". Is this probably a male or? I hope not since I can't keep roosters in town :(

Sorry blurry, one girl, smaller comb

possible cockerel? Fluffy tail

bigger comb

I'm not sure what you're asking? They're-

The Amber White is a cross between a Rhode Island Red and Rhode Island White.

They are feather sexed, not color/marking sexed. It's hard to see but the possible male is getting ivory on it's wings, a little color on it's tail. The female is getting some color but not as pronounced...

Never thought of that! :) I hope it's a pullet as it's a big snuggler and really sweet disposition... Any idea on the breed?

Yes. I bought them May 17, and I thought they were a week old? Maybe 2? Size when I brought them home-

Are you seeing slimmer shiny feathers with pointed tips on the neck? It seems there might be some way up on neck sticking out a little bit in the first picture of bird in question?

Do you know if it's the same one with the very short wing feathers in the chick picture? So many on here swear by faster feather growth on pullets than cockerels and that chick in middle seems to have much smaller wings than the others.
