2 Australorps, 1 or 2 roo's?

Well, here I am in a quandary, both of these birds are 12 weeks old: bird 1 was sold to a gal as an excess poult, she got it home and her roo instantly took beating it up, while letting the other 2 girls she took go easy. :-/
She asked to bring "him" back, I of course said yes... but I am dubious, I see no comb or wattle reddening... but he deffinitely looks different.
So now I am eyeing out other BA as being suspect...
What do you guys think?
