My Peking duck has 2 broken legs. I have splinted both and put her in a dog kennel box with food and water. Has anyone dealt with this before

That would be a good idea @FlyingNunFarm Hopefully the others have more suggestions.@WVduckchick @Wyorp Rock @casportpony
My thought would be a sling to keep her elevated and off the legs. But I don’t have ducks so I tagged a few others who know more then I.
Thanks guys. I will work on a sling.
Would need to be a sturdy laundry basket for a pekin. Adults can be heavy! But I love the laundry basket idea for the view and ventilation.
As soon as you feel comfortable with doing so, swim therapy will also be beneficial to help rebuild the muscle and coordination. I would provide as much water time as possible.
I’ve never seen it done, but the thought of a sling in a deep tub, with water up to about the bottom of the sling just occurred to me for ducks. Hmmm.
