So it had been a week. I have been out of state for a week leaving my hubs in charge of the new chicks. Yesterday we found one chick had appeared under my reliable Dottie. Today that baby was under my flaky Dottie and this second chick was under the reliable one. By our count, we are expecting hatching Monday or Tuesday ish. So we made the decision to put these 2 in with the 10 day old girls, worried they won't get care while momma is still setting. We don't trust the flake. I hope it is the right thing to do. I saw a broken green shell, so that was from an Easter Egger, not sure about the other yet. Daddy is a beautiful Barred Rock.
