I have a main 30x30 run that has roughly 20-25 birds in it. 2 have gone broody about a wk apart.

i have a brooder pen (8x8 p) that i normaly put moma in to hatch out. Ive never had 2 at one time be this close.. it’s normally one goes in rite as one goes out. Well its my two best moms broody at same time. Currently i have both of them in there nesting boxes, same pen. Should i just let them do there thing or will they try to fight each other once babies hatch

It's likely that the first to hatch will become protective of the pen and view the second hen and her chicks as intruders. You can give it a try, but have a back up plan in mind. Good luck.

This happened to me 2 silkies ones eggs hatched and the other left her nest and they co parent the bittys together. It’s only these 2 that always do this. I always have my incubator up and running when I see them starting their process so I can take the eggs from the abandoned nest.

The one to hatch first is one of top 3 in pecking order. She has brought her babies by day 3 into the big pen. I think im gona move her a couple days after hatch and let the other mom finish
