Ruth has been sitting 5 eggs for 12 days now. This evening I found Wednesday sitting on the eggs. She has them nicely covered and is tight on the nest. She had been acting broody for a week or so. Wednesday is only a year old and I think would be a terrible mother.
Ruth is 5 yrs old and would be great.

Do I let Wednesday sit or put Ruth back on them. I don't want to take away Ruths opportunity to be a mom.

Do I give each of them eggs and let them both sit?

Just because a hen is only a year old does not automatically mean she'll be a terrible mother. My second best broody raised her first batch before she was even one year old and she was/is again an excellent mother. It's up to you if you want to try to manage two broody hens. The problem is that they both want to sit on the same nest and that can result in damaged eggs or injured/killed babies.
Personally, I would break the younger hen only because she went broody second and stole the first broody's nest.

I think that's a good idea. The younger one has no sense at all. She forages in the pouring rain and forgets to get in and gets locked out of the run regularly and kinda mean. Alright problem solved.
Thanks for the help.
