Warning - close up cloaca images below!
I had 2 chickens sadly pass within a few days of one another, which I posted about here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...within-a-week-what-could-be-going-on.1680646/
I have been checking the cloacas of my other 7 chickens for the last three nights to check for similar symptoms to the second dead chicken, which was swollen, red cloaca. I've noticed one chicken whose cloaca is getting progressively more red spots, which suggests to me she might be suffering from the same illness as the first two.
Two cloaca images below (warning - graphic), one of the chicken who passed (1), and one of the chicken with red spots forming (2). In contrast, the cloacas of the remaining chickens is completely white, no redness at all.
Anyone have any idea what could be going on? We do have a rooster, so perhaps he is spreading it?
