I looked at pictures of poop and now I'm thinking it was maggots cause the poop wasn't real fresh.

Maggots come from eggs that are layed on something eatable for them like a dead animal etc, etc. poop usually dries out to the point the eggs do not have time to hatch, But its possible.

Blow fly eggs would have not had time to be layed and hatch that quick. But if it was from the day before they would.

I'm trying to see if their is any in fresh poop. Chickens poop all the time except when your waiting for them to.
