2 chicks with skin irritation

Any clue what this is on two of my chicks.

The chick arrived on Wednesday ( I did not see it until yesterday) and then I noticed on the other chick I already had on Thursday.

Could be from feather picking. I would give it a day or two to see if it gets worse.
Have you checked to make sure there's no lice or mites?
If you feel you need to put something on the skin, use a small amount of coconut oil or triple antibiotic ointment.

Wyorp Rock, thank you for your response. So this has been the same way for a few days. No worse and not getting better. I am new to this. How do you check for lice or mites?

The chicks may be been kept in crowded conditions during shipping or even before, and chicks will peck at anything and everything, so they may have just been picked by the others. If it doesn't get worse, then I wouldn't worry about it. They will start feathering out soon, and during that process bald and bare spots are not uncommon, so don't be alarmed. Just make sure no one is getting pecked and hurt as any kind of wound would attract a lot of pecking. If they have enough space in their brooder then any further pecking should stop.
