They seem pretty obvious to me but before I sell just want to confirm. No roo behaviors yet but 2 seem to be obvious cockerels compared to the other. Hatched 6 FBCM eggs. Sold 3 chicks to a friend. Her 3 look just like my one with very little comb/wattle development while 2 of mine seem to have pronounced red combs/wattles. I posted them for sale but then read I should wait until they crow. My 1 adult FBCM does have pronounced red comb/wattles (and lays beautiful dark eggs) but she's from a different breeder.

Oh- they are 2.5 months old.

Those are cockerels.

Your mature hen has a nice red comb and wattles because she's sexually mature. That's why we always want to know age when sexing birds....cause a 2.5 month old cockerel has about the same comb as a grown hen!

Thank you. They seem incredibly obvious to me but then I started reading on the forum and decided I might as well check in just in case. Of course I picked out 3 of the 4 hens for my friend. Lol.

Oh I know what you mean, sometimes your own birds are the hardest to sex, cause you see them every day. Sometimes you make assumptions early on about gender and don't really "look" at the bird for a few months, then you're surprised!
