2 day old chick scratching it’s head/face and falling backward!

I think 12-24 hours. It is all dry now. It isn't staying under the MHP though. It's a new sunbeam heating pad I have on low and it's hatchmate is fine under there. I don't know why this little one has me all paranoid!
Some just don't catch on as quick with the pads, some don't thrive right off the bat.
Only the 2 chicks?
Is it drinking and eating?
Just keep an eye on it a give a another day or two.

The 3rd is still wet in the incubator. I don't know if the other 4 will hatch or not as my temps keep spiking all the sudden in the incubator! I have to decrease it almost everyday but it was holding steady in the beginning. Whole other issue!!

It isn't eating or drinking. I have nutridrench ready in a dropper. Should I give it a drop? I've tried feeding and watering it by hand but nothing yet. Trying to be patient! It seems to be doing better with the heating pad today. Just want to do all I can to set it up for success!

So you dipped beaks in waterer a few times,
and dropped some starter on floor,
and they didn't go for it?

Some don't eat or drink until after a couple days, but a bit of ND might not hurt.
Be very careful, can't just squirt a drop into mouth-it may aspirate it, I use a soaked Qtip held against side of beak so liquid seeps/wicks into mouth then it should swallow.

Correct, I have dipped it about 3 separate times and have some food on the floor. It's hatchmate has been gobbling it up and loving it! I will use the Qtip trick and give it some more time! Thank you always aart!

@aart she came around just fine! Thanks again!
Great!
Had a 'stupid' one in my last hatch.....wasn't eating or drinking, even after dipping numerous times and qtip feeding nutridrench and water. I'd dip, she'd take a sip or two, then just wander or stand there staring, same with food she'd peck at stuff on the floor but never hit or pickup anything. Finally at 4-5-6 days old, the day she went to the farm that ordered them hatched, her crop was full and she was acting more 'normal'...and I guess she's thriving yet today...SMH, ya just never know.
