I remember having to teach my lone quail to eat and drink. It took a lot of patience.

she now eating okay but she thinks the 1 week old chick is her mother and always follow her and tuck herself under her..i've got a broody 1 week old is what i said to myself..she's so kind to the newborn

I had a king quail chick who was plucked by his mother when he was a few weeks old, so I took him away from her. I put him with his three adult sisters, and they raised him. He liked to sit under them.
