Very interesting! I have never seen a rooster crow that young in person. But it does appear that is what that chick is doing. Right on.

I had a OEGB start crowing at about 4 weeks and that excited the whole family, being as young as he was. 2 days is really something special. Tag his leg to make sure he turns out to be roo. Let us see pictures in about 4 months to see how he turned out.

I have two that hatched on 12/14/11. Christmas morning (11 days old) I heard the same sound. Finally this morning I caught one - the one we suspected was a roo - crowing! I could hardly believe it. I wonder how long it has been crowing and I just hadn't heard it.

Mine are Black Copper Marans. Your babies are very cute!

I have been hearing a cooing sound, not a crowing sound. It's really cute lol. I don't know who is doing it but I do know that I have at least 2, possibly 4 roo's. Do they start cooing before they crow? I'm a new chick mommy, these guys are my first.
