Help please!
2 day out turkey poult panting, no energy, keeps flipping over,
Too warm? It’s only 85 degrees right now....
possible ingestion of a piece of glass from a thermometer that broke....
Ugh..... hate to see him suffer
Don’t wa t to pull him from the heat since I know they need it so much the first few days....
Do they pant for any other reason?
Ideas?
Thanks

A two day old poult needs 90° to 95°F. Eighty-five degrees is too cold. The temperature must be measured at the bedding level. If the air is where the temperature is being measured, the bedding will be hot enough to cook the poult.

Flip over syndrome can be due to vitamin deficiency. Try giving some Nutri Drench or other similar vitamin additive.
