So, this morning, my youngest pullet. . . a fine looking E.E. with full beard and muff, rose comb and slate legs. . . finally laid her first egg. . . .it is brown! So with 4 girls, and 2 E.E.,s no blue or green eggs. . . dissapointing. . . I am hoping to find at least one "real" americauna or aracauna pullet, in the spring. . . anyone know of a breeder in AZ that might be willing to let me buy only 1 pullet or young hen?

one from the feed store, the other from a neighbor. . . .wasn't surprised when that one had brown eggs, but the other should have been a "colored" egg layer.

yeah, check with Mahonri. He posted pics of his eggs, and they are purty blue.

I have an EE I got from Privett and she lays brown eggs. I got some ameraucanas from breeders this summer, and they're laying green and blue eggs. I think it helps going through a breeder to get better eggcolor.
