2 Easter Eggers, What is sex?

Hello,
Can anyone help me to figure out the sex of my two Easter Eggers. They will be 5 weeks old on February the 8th, 2023. I tried to take the best pictures I could but they will not hold still for very long. Lol!

I can see them now. Not sure what you did but it worked

It’s early to determine sex but I’d guess one male and one female. The red around the shoulders typically signals boy

I kind of thought that by instinct as well. The dark one acts very protective of the yellow one.

Is there something you can tell me so that I can learn this and look for it in the future? I did feel like the dark one was male and the light one was female because he was acting sort of protective over her.

It’s breed traits in Easter Eggers. I’m sure it’s not 100%, but most of the time the red feathers mean cockerel and the light ones are pullets. Maybe someone with a better explanation will chime in.

Splotches of red over the wing bows is a male specific trait. The darker one is certainly a male. I'd post pics of the other at 8 weeks for a reevaluation.
