2 EEs and no blue or green eggs?!?!

They are NOT the same. Easter Eggers are mix poultry...they are mixed with a blue egg layer. IF one parent is from a brown egg and the other parent is from a blue egg, the offspring will/can lay a blue, green, pink or brown egg. IF one parent is from a white egg and the other is from a blue egg, then the they can/will lay blue eggs...

Since they are a mixed breed and you don't know their pedigree-- It will be a surprise... Think of mixed dogs---mating two different breed can produce a wide variety of different colored pups.. Those pups are still dogs, they are cute and fuzzy and make healthy, wonderful dogs/companions.. But you can't predict what the out come will be with certainty...

Ameraucanas are a APA recognized breed. They have set standard and are not sold at the average hatcheries.. Look up the 'ABC'--Ameraucanas Breeders Club.. Lot sof information there.

Thank you - now I understand the difference. Guess I will have to wait another 22-24 weeks to know what I will get

I have 4 EE's from MPC. One of then is a beautiful blue wheaten color, she is my lap chicken. She is curious and follows me everywhere.
The other three are a boring light brown. They are 29 weeks.. still waiting for eggs.

I have 23 EE's from My Pet Chicken. Currently I have 10 of them laying. 1 lays pink, 1 lay light brown, 1 lays dark brown, 6 are laying various shades of green and 1 is laying blue. 13 still have yet to lay.

My EE came from meyers she layed the most beautiful green egg i've ever seen 6 days on 1 day off 59 -66 grams.

I have one bantam EE and she is from My Pet Chicken. Her name is Snickers and she likes to be carried around and sit in your lap or on your shoulder, but she lays a pinkish-tan egg. She does lay consistently, though, and we love her. We were kinda hoping for a a blue egg as she is our only EE, but she makes up for it in personality.

I have an all white EE that has green legs and a pea comb and nice big cheek puffs and lays a light sandy/ cream colored egg. At first i was very disapointed but now it is my favorite. It is big and fat and round. She rarely misses a day of laying and i find the color pleasing and unique. I bet it would take may generations of selecting to produce a hen that lays that color egg. No matter what kind of rooster i breed her too he is going to offer some thing and the hens out of her egg will lay a different shade.
