I give my chickens probiotic egg boost in their water, my first three eggs have had a nice shell and no blood or anything too, you should try it, it works great.

Thanks for the info...I will try it. Will check the feed store. My girls have been eating more oyster shell lately.

On a sad note, Millie passed away on September 29th, 2012. She had egg peritonitis.

Oh... I'm sorry. Two of mine died at one point to.... They broke they're necks, running into the roost....
