So my cuckoo marans have just started laying. I went out to check for eggs yesterday morning & one chicken was in the nest so I waited a few mins. I ended up watching her do the whole thing, weird yet fun. They were thinner shells but popped out 2 eggs. Both cracked up. So is it normal for 1 chicken to pop out 2 eggs at once? Is there anything I can do to help with stronger shells etc?

Two eggs at once is not normal, it is probably just hiccup in her system though. Get your self some oyster shell and put it in a bowl or feeder they will use it if they need it.

One of my bantam EEs lays every other day, two eggs.

You can mix some oyster shell in with your feed to encourage them to eat it if they don't. That's what I do- and they leave what they don't want at the bottom of the feeder.
