Hey everyone
My girl Myrtle (25 weeks) has been laying for a few weeks now.
Early on, she laid a few double yolks. I know this can happen in young ladies, but here is the issue....she now lays 2 eggs at a time within 30 mins apart, sometimes hard shell and some soft shell every other day. She does this later in the day and in the evenings.
Will this settle, or is this a problem?
I've been keeping a good eye on her and she always acts lethargic and separates herself before laying 2 eggs. Poor girl🧡

I would think this will go away with time and as she gets more into that laying cycle, so I would just give her more time and see if it goes away.
To help her out, give her one tablet of calcium citrate +D3 a day. It will help her pass the eggs, and may even fix her laying two eggs a day.
Hens having trouble with eggs can and will act lethargic.
