I have 2 eggs that pipped on day 23, Now it day 25. They both still alive, peeping. I also cracked egg a bit to see what's going on and I seen still veins in both. What should I do? Has anyone had a situation like this?

Is the membrane yellowish or dry looking? If so, bump up the humidity to at least 70 percent and watch for a couple hours. You might have to assist if this goes on too long.

Humidity is actually about 80. Has stayed pretty leveled with that through the whole hatching period. But the two membrane are turning yellow. I've actually put a wet paper towel plus rubbed a bit of water on their membrane. Also, if I have to assist I have to wait to for the blood veins to go right?

Were it me I'd just clear their pip hole and maybe expand it a bit. Often I find it motivated the chicks.

Update: got one of my babies. Now just waiting for the other one. I checked and still has veins.

Last update, I have both chicks now. Yay! Alive and doing good. Have one concern. My last one came out with green gunk. What is that?

The green gunk is most likely its first poo - normally they don't poop in the shell, but it happens sometimes. Glad to hear they're doing well.

I'm glad you mentioned that. My d'anver that hatched today - also after a long 48hrs - had green gunk, but it disappeared quickly. Glad to hear it's only poop!
