We have 6- 9 month old guineas that were raised under a chicken. About a week ago one went missing and we figured that she was on eggs somewhere.....we found her 2 days later when she came out to eat and we followed her back - she is sitting on at LEAST 25 eggs.

Then, a couple of days later, another guinea went missing. Today she came up to eat and we followed her back - don't have a count yet on her eggs.....

The one that laid earliest is under a bunch of branches - seems like a pretty good spot next to a barbed-wire fence. The other one is just under a wrecked horse trailer that doesn't have a floor....not so sure that's a great spot, but I guess that's where she has chosen. Pretty nervous around here about all of this but hopefully it all works out.

i havent found my guinea nest yet but i will soon i thought i found them just a few mins. ago but it was my bantam hen that always runs free

So much for all of that excitement. I found the two guineas this morning hanging around the chicken coop. Something had gotten into BOTH nests - they were about 100 yards from each other. At least the hens got away. I guess I'll look into an incubator -

i have a guinea hen somewhere hid out on a nest. I thought something had happened to her but the other day she showed up in the backyard with the others for a short bit but I was busy and could not follow her to her nest. I suspect she will show up with a bunch of keets in the next 1 to 2 weeks.

The other hen is roosting with the boys but I figure she is also sneaking off and laying.

I NEVER HAVE ANY LUCK WITH THE HENS HATCHING THE KEATS THEMSELVES

I HATCHED OUT 15 THE PAST WEEK AND 2 DIED, HAVE 36 EGGS READY TO GO INTO THE SET THIS WEEKEND.........................I LOVE THIS
