My banty hen went all broody on me, and despite taking her eggs every day still wanted to sit. So saturday i went out and bought some local farm eggs fresh from the hens that are fertile. (I have no roosters) I set 15 eggs under her. Today i go out and my Sussex has been sitting side by side with her all day! Apparently the appearance of all those eggs caused her to go broody too. Anyone else have this happen to them? Ive never seen 2 hens hatch the same clutch before.

I had 3 Silkie hens hatch 2 eggs about a month ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the three of them went broody again fairly soon.

Thats very cool. Frost warning tonight so the eggs can use the xtra heat from 2 hens!
