2 in a laying box

I have 2 Dominiques laying in the same nesting box. Only 1 egg is laid and one of them is eating it. They are sisters laying for a year now and suddenly this is happening.

So you only have these 2 hens that use the same box and you are getting one egg or no egg?
Is there a guey mess from the egg eating and that is how you know it is happening?

Is it a good hard shelled egg being eaten....or a thin/soft shelled egg that is easily broken?
